Terms of Use
Griffin Financial
PO Box 5, Burin, NL A0E 1E0
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These terms govern use of griffinfinancial.ca (the site). They sit beside our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
The practice
The site is operated by Griffin Financial, a Newfoundland and Labrador financial security practice at PO Box 5, Burin, NL A0E 1E0. Phone (709) 325-0262. Email bob@griffinfinancial.ca. Advisors here are licensed in this province. We represent Canada Life and other insurers. We offer information and appointment booking related to life insurance, group health and retirement benefits, corporate coverage, and insurance-based investments. We do not sell products through a checkout on this site. Nothing on the site is an insurance contract or a solicitation that overrides provincial licensing rules.
You must be 18 or older, and a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador, to request a meeting or submit personal information for an advisory conversation. We do not accept clients from other Canadian provinces or from the United States. A booking from outside Newfoundland and Labrador will be declined.
Acceptable use
You may view the site for your own information, book a checkup if you are a prospective or existing client, and contact us. You may not:
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-copy the site
- attempt to break into the CMS, booking tool, or anyone else's file
- upload malware or unlawful content
- impersonate a client, insurer, or regulator
- use our name, griffin logo, or copy in a way that suggests we endorse you
We may refuse or cancel a booking, and we may block access, if we believe these terms are being broken or if we cannot serve the request (for example a product we are not licensed to offer).
Appointments
Bookings run through TidyCal. The public offer on the site is a 30-minute business-owner checkup covering the company, group benefits, and the personal file. Existing clients and new owners book that same half hour. Meeting length, buffer time, and available hours are controlled in TidyCal. A confirmed slot is a calendar hold. It is not a paid engagement and it does not place a policy.
If you need to cancel, use the link in your confirmation or email us. We may record that a meeting was booked, held, or missed, as part of running the practice.
Intellectual property
Site copy, layout, and the griffin logo belong to Griffin Financial or our licensors. You may not copy them for a competing site or a product pitch without our written consent. Insurer names and logos are those companies' property. Canadian copyright law applies. We do not rely on United States "fair use" on this site.
Privacy, cookies, and messages
Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy, PIPEDA, and CASL. The cookie banner is how you accept or decline non-essential cookies, including Google advertising cookies. Commercial electronic messages require CASL consent and include an unsubscribe.
No warranty on the site itself
We work to keep the site accurate and available. It is provided as is. We do not warrant that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful code originating outside our control (for example a third-party embed). Product information can change; the contract and the insurer's illustration govern.
Liability
To the extent the law of Newfoundland and Labrador allows, Griffin Financial's liability for use of the website (as opposed to advice on a client file) is limited to $100 CAD, or the amount you paid us through the site, which is none. We do not exclude liability that the law does not let us exclude.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Courts of Newfoundland and Labrador have exclusive jurisdiction, except that a regulator or ombudservice with authority over an insurance complaint may still hear that complaint.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. The date at the top will change. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site.
